Civil War Soldiers

On the third floor you  will find the most incredible civil war display anywhere. Mr. Gene Wright, a retired history teacher has spent his entire life collecting the civil war displays and proudly displays over 120 Mannequins that tells a story of each brave soldier. A must see!

Wayne King Room

Big Band Leader Wayne King was born in Savanna, Illinois. An American musician, songwriter, singer and orchestra leader with a long association with both NBC and CBS. Known as "The Waltz King" for his song "The Waltz You Saved for Me"

Model Railroad​

HO scale operating model railroad layout that depicts the Savanna Railroading in the 1950’s. The railroad has the CB&Q (Burlington Railroad and the Milwaukee Road on the layout.

Helen Scott Hay

A daughter of Carroll County, Helen traveled the world helping create a profession called nursing.
Come get acquainted with Helen, one of the most decorated and honored American nurses in history.
